Because not only did I recognize her work, but I’m old enough to remember this installation from when it was up on 42d Street in 1985. I used to walk past it every day, in fact, on my way to my summer job at the ACLU, which was then on 43rd between 6th and Broadway. And now I think I’ve just revealed myself to be the oldest person on Tumblr, but oh well.
