Flight attendants getting fined because passengers can't follow the rules. →
The FAA can fine a flight attendant thousands of dollars if you bring an oversized carry-on onto the plane, if you listen to your iPod after you’ve specifically been told not to, or if you get up out of your seat when the fasten-seatbelt light is on. So if your flight attendant seems extra-bitchy when she tells you for the fourth time to turn off your cell phone or if she forces you to leave your 50-lb. suitcase on the jet bridge, just know she’s doing it because she doesn’t want to owe the FAA more money than she makes in a month.
Look, people, just stop trying to bring obviously oversized bags onto the plane. Just cut it out. It’s a pain in the ass for everyone, and you’re keeping people from using the space they paid for because you can’t be bothered to check a bag. And in general, try to remember that there are people in the world other than yourself. Thx.
